Update·July 1, 2026
Imperial Perimeter & Siege Kinetic Cannon
A brand-new rogue-like expedition called Imperial Perimeter, the heavy Siege Kinetic Cannon, a Harmonic Laser rework, new 3x3 armor blocks, a Drone Bay rework, fresh skins and achievements, plus camera, building and audiovisual quality-of-life upgrades.

New Mode - Imperial Perimeter
- A brand-new rogue-like expedition.
- Between fights you choose to repair your spaceship a little or grab upgrades for the rest of the expedition.
- Damage and decisions carry through the entire run, and a single defeat ends it for good.
- 5 expedition difficulty tiers, 5 mission danger tiers and 5 quality tiers of upgrades.
- Random events, and enemies enhanced with upgrades.
- Solo only for now - co-op is planned for the future.
New Weapon & Balance
- New weapon: Siege Kinetic Cannon - a heavy, large-caliber kinetic cannon firing a new, stronger and faster type of bullet.
- Harmonic Laser rework - base damage was nerfed from 18 to 12, but reflections now add damage: each bounce off your own reflective optics adds +1.5 flat damage (up to +6 total), and each bounce off an ally's optics adds +20% damage per bounce (no cap). The ally part may not be usable in normal fights, but could be something cool once co-op arrives.
- Ship max-speed ceiling reduced from 650 to 600 for better balance, edge-case handling and optimization. This affects all ships, but only slightly.
- New 3x3 armor blocks for every armor type: a single 3x3 block packs +20% more HP and +2 armor versus nine separate 1x1 plates - for the same cost, mass and power. (For 2x2 it stays as before: +10% HP and +1 armor.)
- Drone Bay rework - all drones now fly out one after another when the button is clicked. They can be called back later to repair their damage, but destroyed drones are gone for good.
Cosmetics & Progression
- New ship skins, including skins obtainable only by earning a specific achievement.
- New achievements tied to discovering events in Imperial Perimeter.
Quality of Life
- New camera mode with a target-lock indicator - your ship's autopilot locks onto the target too.
- 45-degree building and steering support.
- New music dedicated to Imperial Perimeter battles, events and boss fights.
- Better, more realistic background - parallax star fields, a new foreground dust layer, and improved minimap markers.
- Captain Technician
